Coastal Wonders (Lima, Paracas, Ica): December to April

Peru’s coast shines brightest from December to April, offering sun-soaked days perfect for exploration.

What to See:

  • Lima: Explore the vibrant capital’s colonial architecture, world-class museums, and renowned culinary scene
  • Paracas National Reserve: Spot diverse marine life and stunning coastal landscapes
  • Nazca Lines: Marvel at these mysterious ancient geoglyphs from a scenic flight
  • Huacachina: Sandboard in this picturesque desert oasis

 

Pro tip: Don’t miss the grape harvest festivals in Ica during February and March. It’s a wine lover’s paradise!  Also the Mistura Food Festival in Lima (September) – South America’s largest food fair!

Getting around: Buses are comfortable and affordable for coastal travel. For a quicker journey, consider domestic flights between major cities.

 

Andean Highlands (Cusco, Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu): May to September
